I worked this Memorial Day and so I got to take another day off instead. So Julie (newly freed for the summer) and I jumped in the Toyota and took the small trek to Wichita Falls.
Julie still laughs at me (or rolls her eyes) everytime we are driving into town and I say something about the fly-over, and how 'big city' it is.
Isn't it amazing how life changes. Everyday seems the same more often and not and then there are those days that seem like they will change every other day from then on.
As we drove up yesterday we listened to some new music that Julie had found and one was a new CD by Laura Story. There was an underlining depth to so much of what she wrote. I think the last time I lyrically appreciated a CD as much was the latest Casting Crowns CD. Here are the words to the song Indescribable:
From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name
You are amazing God
Incomparable, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same
You are amazing God
You are amazing God
